Tips and Guidelines for keeping your Black and White Bedding Set Clean

Trying to clean your black white bedding set can take a lot of time. With the many pieces of your bedroom set, there are many different instructions to follow. To make things simple, we have compiled a list of tips and guidelines for each type of piece of your black white bedding set.

Bedspreads: You have to make sure to clean your bedspread before it becomes soiled. Make sure that when you treat stains use a spray prewash. Cleaning the bedspread is simple; the most important thing about it is to make sure whether or not your bedspread bleeds in the wash. If it does bleed, you will need to have it dry-cleaned. After you check this and verify that it does not bleed, then you can just clean the bedspread in a washing machine. Afterwards, just dry the bedspread on a clothes line or in a dryer.

Blankets: Blankets are a bit different than bedspreads. Most can be washed or hand-washed. However, if you want to keep the blanket in its best shape, you are going to have to vacuum it to remove the dust. You will also have to place it on a clothesline to freshen it out, and also treat spots and stains before you wash it.

Quilts and Comforters: If your quilt or comforter is in great condition, then you can just place it in the washing machine and dryer. When you do this, just use an all-purpose detergent and cold water. If your quilt of comforter is fragile, then you are going to have to hand-wash it.

Mattresses: To keep your mattress in good condition, you will need to turn the mattress over on its other side every month. Mattresses work better when they have even wear on both of its sides. In addition, to prevent soiling it, cover the mattress with quilted or rubberized covers. When you clean the mattress, avoid getting it very wet, and make sure the bed is completely dry before you make it.

Pillows: Pillows require being cleaned often just like the rest of the black and white bedroom set. To clean your pillow, you will need to carefully read the care instructions on it as the instructions can vary based on the filling. You will also want to protect each of your pillows with a polyester or cotton cover. You will want to air the pillows out once a month by putting them by an open window.
